The USC Trojans have been known to churn out some of the top college quarterbacks in recent memory — Caleb Williams, Sam Darnold, Matt Barkley, Mark Sanchez, Matt Leinart and Carson Palmer — but none of them ever accomplished what redshirt sophomore QB Miller Moss did in Wednesday’s 42-28 Holiday Bowl win over No. 15 Louisville.
Moss, who waited his turn behind Williams, Jaxson Dart and Kedon Slovis on the USC depth chart over the last three seasons, set a Holiday Bowl record with six touchdown passes against the Cardinals, also breaking the USC record for most TDs by a QB in a bowl game and most TDs by a QB making his first start, according to Ryan Kartje of the Los Angeles Times.
His final stat line read 23-of-33 for 372 yards, six touchdowns and one interception.
