For the first time in nearly 16 years, a member of the Utah Jazz recorded a triple-double in the regular season.
In Monday’s New Year’s Day matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, former Sixth Man of the Year winner Jordan Clarkson had 20 points, 11 assists, and 10 boards off the bench, becoming the first Jazz player since Carlos Boozer in 2008 to post a triple-double during the season (Ricky Rubio had one in the playoffs back in 2018.) Even coach Will Hardy got in on the fun, telling Clarkson to go to and grab one more rebound so he could take him out of what was a blowout for Utah at that point. With the team currently four games under .500 and currently out of the play-in tournament picture, the front office has reportedly been looking to deal all-star Lauri Markkanen, meaning this could very well end up as another lost season for Utah, but at least they were able to get this statistical monkey off of their collective backs.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. In honor of Clarkson’s triple-double, we want to see how many players with the most career triple-doubles for every NBA franchise you can name in five minutes.
Good luck!
