Will the Dallas Cowboys make a run at Bill Belichick? That’s the question on everyone’s mind following the team’s 48-32 blowout loss at home to the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round of the NFC playoffs on Sunday.
Before Sunday’s game was even played, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported that Belichick was waiting to see what unfolded during the playoffs before making any decisions about his future. Rapoport’s comments were prescient, as he noted one team always tends to get blown out in the postseason unexpectedly and that often drives the team to make a change.
This year, the Cowboys were that team and they have to be thinking very hard about making a run at Belichick.
Bleacher Report NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported on X Sunday that he spoke with an NFL executive who expected the Cowboys to pursue Belichick if the team lost to the Packers.
